About Me

Tracking Greater Sage Grouse
Tracking Greater Sage Grouse with a 3 Element Yagi in Nevada

When I started on my ham radio journey, I was captivated by CW and Numbers Stations. This intrigue spurred me to acquire my Technician and General Licenses as of September 2023. Despite being relatively new to this realm, my engagement has been robust, particularly in the Boston local repeater community. I have not only participated but also spearheaded fox hunts. Presently, I am honing my skills in head copying CW. My fascination with Arduino over the past year has led me to develop innovative applications for foxhunting and other radio pursuits.

Simultaneously, as a committed student of Ecological Economics at the University of Massachusetts since Fall 2023, my academic journey is charted to culminate in May 2027. My foray into research commenced in 2018, delving into domains such as food sustainability, statistics, and qualitative research.

My professional experience includes working with the USGS in Nevada, where I was involved in a project with the Greater Sage Grouse. This experience allowed me to blend my love for technology and nature, as I tracked these beautiful birds using VHF technology amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Desatoya Mountain Range.

But my interests don’t stop at science and radio. I am Boronix, a creator of electronic music, dabbling in genres like EDM, trap dubstep, techno, house, DnB, and trance. My music, a decade-long journey, can be found on most streaming platforms and SoundCloud.

Photography is another of my passions, especially bird and urban photography. This hobby not only captures moments but also enhances my observational skills.

As an artist, I find joy in drawing and painting from life. My work often reflects my scientific explorations, serving as a journal of my journey. Watercolors are my medium of choice, allowing me to express my perspectives vividly.

In essence, I am a blend of science, art, and technology, constantly exploring and innovating in my various fields of interest. Welcome to my journey!
